Big Sur
I stood quiet, entranced in sanctified awed hush
First time I saw, such sweeping majesty so raw
Big Sur, I collapsed in heart panting, Big Sur
My breath taken, utterly whisked away
I've been young and old in Big Sur, yea
I have traveled the states by car, thumb, freight and train
Yet never bowed as I do, to Big Sur in rain
Low sweeping sigh filled bow do I bid
In tribute to glory, fired upon earth
I weep at the ocean, such power to behold
As she hugs the cliff and lover of old
She crashes and dances roars as she cries
In again out again I get lost in her sighs
Big Sur, no never, wherever I've been
Seen anything like Big Sur
I've know New England in intimacy yes
The desert like a stallion, have I inhaled her best
I've seen all the coastlines, far as they roam,
But when old, now one calls me, yes, ancient and old
Big Sur...

| Big Sur is fantastic, isn't it. Many ancient Indian ruins there too. Nicely done. |

| The first three lines of the last stanza are great. But poor Big Sur, ...? |

I fear the tranquil water of thy soul..untroubled warm inviting...but with the depth...that is to me....unfarthomed and unknown....invade the fitful turmoil of my dreams......until I awake....
Lovely Big Sur write Rodney!!
I am in Awe.......
