Mere Words

I hold only words to see your face, in my hand, mere words
Words only do I clutch to my bosom bent in sand
Mere words, painting you, painting me, mere words
They wait not long upon my soul
Before they stir loudly my passion, both unbathed and untold, mere words

I only hold words not flesh, yet flesh
Never filled me like your words, I hold now in heart bowed
Never in my travels have I yea, so longed
Word painted pictures of you, my song
Wait I for more, yea words

Separated by vast land mass
And life's weary roads, separated by others
Names untold, words only have I to hold, yea,
Though my love stay woven like burnished gold braid
Embroidered forever upon the sunsets of time arrayed

Words only have we, to show ourselves
Mere words, though yours undressed, do so stir my soul, yea, so deep in kind hush
Mere words, yet yes, I trust them as a child
Your words my breastplate of heart I wear my lass, mere words
Begging oneness of flesh as they dance, mere words

Calling and whispering into the night deep, mere words
Yes, yours to me, oh that my heart can sustain such a thing
I hold not flesh but words scented in your breath of breast touching mine.
Mere words, yes yours, touching mine heart first time, yes words, yours
And mine, mixed upon times breath as pledge to linger on endlessly

Long after I am gone, mere words
We paint in life's lite, and they follow us into death, mere words
Your words and mine painted upon times breath, mere words
Tracing our breath in passionate blaze, mere words
Yes, yours and mine, mixed in blood upon time

Yours and mine, our words, yes, mixed in times wine....mere words

Mere words
Did anyone ever tell you
Just how special you are
The light that you emit
Might even light a star
There are no words
To thank you
Have a nice day
And I am glad
We are friends

Love your work!!
