Muse Denied by Melissa C. Rives Monday, May 19, 2003 Share Print Save Become a Fan Ever have days like these....kids always busting in when you're trying to write...gotta love Summer...ha ha! Now you see why this is all I could manage lately!
No, I couldn’t move the mountain so I dug my way inside… Found the darkness what I needed where from others I could hide. Just to rest awhile in silence from the chaos of my life… Bound in comfort in this haven far away from all the strife. For times when life is such a tug of war with me the in-between… Until my sanity is waning for the lack of calm serene. For a moment when my pen can paint the page with brilliant prose… Where the muse can speak in whispers as my fingers recompose. Though these moments come unnoticed no regard for my own will… When the words become my own until the soul has had it’s fill. Yet it isn’t always easy crawling into mountain side… Sometimes reality is stronger muse and I are left denied.

Melissa, I think this turned out beautiful, and the content perfect! I have been going through the same thing, for some reason it has been harder for me to find the time to write lately. Who ever said it gets easier as the kids get older, was mistaken! lol! Thanks for this one, it is good to know that we are not alone in our feelings. Hugs, Maria
