DEDICATED TO MY MOTHERLAND

A heaven on Earth: Nepal our pride
A domicile of God and free as infinite
Like Sun’s potent ray that spreads far and wide
With celestial warmth to all alike
Believe me, Earth hasn’t anything to show much fair
Than this facsimile of inimitable paradise
Illustrious far and wide like” Miltonic” rhymes
Even to the Goddess it did add delight
Dropped manna, down from the verge of heaven
Eternize here on Earth, Inward and outward
Adding celestial sublime, only to shine like a
Twilight upon the Earth, where Everest stands
The stairway to Heaven and pride of all Nepalese tribes
Hail, holy land, offspring of Heaven
Not far off Heaven, in the precincts of light
Where even God and Goddess dances
Hand in hand, from dusk till dawn
With head uplift and inflated with pride

STUPENDOUS!
I ADORE this poem, Bhuwan, for reasons which are quite obvious!
You may submit this for publication in the WINTER 2004 issue of SONNETTO POESIA. Although not TECHNICALLY a Sonnet, I could care less. This is a MASTERPIECE of English literature. Oh, that adjective, "Miltonic".... swept me away!
You naughty boy!
BTW, you know, of course, a Canadian poet could write an almost identical poem, so very beautiful is Canada (at least in her wild state, outside the cities)
