Lamb in My Vineyard

I found a lamb in my vineyard, followed me about
"'Twas plain to see, she fancied me so
'Twas branded by another in name only I say
Yet somehow miraculously, she was sent my way
Stricken I was, from time my eyes met hers

I saw the brand yea, as she did as well
Yet she followed me daily drinking at my well
The water far sweeter than water she'd known
'Twas a touch of magic I'd say, for when she drank of my well

The water turned to wine and cast sort of a spell
A good spell mind you, if there be such a thing
My water turned wine, set aflame in my soul
We frolicked in meadow, swam in each others hearts
We danced tall in moonlite, whilst we listened yea, to harps

We kissed in the sunlight, made love in the sand
We turned back times timepiece, by the strength in our very hands
We trembled in heart pounding, wondrous, that which found us indeed
Yet, a brand of another, stood tall in our path
Yea, I know outside looking in...been there all my life

I have dwelled there forever, waiting my time in sun
I respect well a brand, if its upon ones heart
And invited in welcome, love streaming from heart
Yet a brand merely for brand sake,
Should not fall upon animal, yet alone women, great, mighty or small

We suck hard at the love mist that showers us in day
Like the wild ass of desert does sniff snort in the way
Under moonlight we cuddle our hearts nesting in peace
Peace never noticed till lamb came to me, and yes, I she
Yea, the power overwhelming, never known prior, lightning and embers of two souls afire

We walk daily in time hidden now
But one day shall all know, the yea, secret, precious hidden vow
Yes, there is indeed, a secret sown in us
Her name is bride of mine angel dust mine
Indian girl standing in tears, my bride hidden, veiled within my hearts tears

How can one wed another wearing brand?
Ask my heart not, for it does not understand
Yea, my heart knows only her hand upon my heart
Time shall announce us one day in bright time
For our love penned, shall linger upon time, like fine wine, unfolding in time, mine

The lovestory of an Indian girl, and a warrior of old
Will scent written poems for time evermore for to hold
For no love prior will shine in the face
Of a love sparked in the heavens, yea, beyond this place
Our time shall be a ascribed to times face, no doubt

For our lite shines brighter than sun upon face
Our time yet unannounced, yet soon be the day
When we are uncovered, yes in the way
Indian girl standing in tears, my bride veiled, hidden for years
Awake now this day, arise in the lite, feel me, its thunder awake in the night

Hear me lamb, I am wind walking within you, I'm sunlight dancing sparkling inside
I am he who you hear in the night second watch, while all others slumber and slide
Yet starred lovers are awake and hot, here me, I am sunlight dancing for you, Mr. lite dancing I am
Glimmering and shimmering because of your hand, yes, upon my heart stand
I am he, who awaits your return, I am Mr lite dancing, awaiting you in times hand.

Yes, I am Mr lite dancing, yes, awaiting you in time.....oh sweet bride of mine.

Amazing thing.. love is. It can vanquish any pain, erase any brand, heal any heart with it's embrace. Another lovely write Rodney.

I hope that you dont mind my taking bits and pieces that move me so of your work. It is almost a crime though because the entire piece is awesome and even though the pieces I bring out to examine in the light are brilliant, fitted in place as you do they complete the whole. What I say here is that you have indeed created a masterpiece.
I thank you,

You speak of unrequited love.. it is a familiar song you sing here to all who truly listen to their hearts.. who don't shy away from calling it what it is. We cannot know and should not care what history comes with our beloved... we only know that we love. There is melancholy here, but there is also hope.. you weave them carefully and in so doing, once again you give us all of yourself. That! is why reading you is like complete immersion.. hearts do not understand "the brand" on others'.. nor should they. Soooo lovely, Rodney. katy.

I hear the wind call your name
When waves get brushed upon the shore
Right now I feel like a leaf on a breeze
You put my heart ach at ease
With a feeling so strong
How can that be wrong
For a love so strong
A reason to believe in love
I hear the wind call your name
You are the one
I want to see at sunset
How do I explain it

Beautiful love poem....
I m mesmerize by it..
