Cute as a button
Sweet as can be
My dog takes so much pride
In stealing from me

Headfirst into the laundry basket he'll climb
Oh what a silly sight to see
This pup with his butt in the air
Little tail happily waggling away
As he’s delightfully rummaging through the cloths in there
Then coming out with some panties and socks
To treasure and chew on and toss about
He’s even redesigned a couple of pair
Victoria’s Secret better look out
I’ve got my own haute couture doggy designer in-house

My dog is a thief
But he likes to get caught
Because when he gets bored
He'll show me what he’s got
As he parades back and forth
With the prize in his mouth
“What’s That!!” I’ll exclaim
And make a big fuss
It becomes a grand game
The chase is on!

I’ll pretend to dive at him and land on the bed
Off he jumps with a “Ha! Ha!!”
Cause I always miss and he escapes instead
And he runs off down the hall
Skittering across the kitchen floor
Around the living room and over the sofa
Then sprints back out through the door

“Can’t get me!” He woofs, “I’m way too fast!!”
It’s really quite fun
We’re both having a blast

Now he’s resting one of his prizes
My furry little thief
Snoozing right next to me
Isn’t he bold?
But my pup’s so sweet
Just so darn cute
So I’ll let him sleep
Until I’m done typing this
Then I’ll turn slowly around
And say…..
“What’s That!!!”

“Hooray!” he woofs
And gleefully runs
With me charging after him
The game is on!
