The strategy has been formulated and reworked. I will not stop until my love and I are victorious--but how far should I go?

In a blink of an eye, I knew the answer
As it came spiraling down from the heavens
And embe dded itself into my lukewarm heart.
With that collision and at that moment
I could feel the blood splashing through my veins
as if a crackling current had revived the organ that sustains my being.
I made a decision to stay by your side and I gave away a part of myself on that day.
I could see that a battle had begun and like a battle-weary soldier I pushed on,
In spite of the blood that I spilled - some old and some new, I pushed on towards an
Objective that we could see but they could not.
You were well guarded even though they had no idea of the kind of attack that was brewing.
I gathered my baggage and slung it over my shoulder, the weight almost too heavy to carry,
But it was carried nonetheless.

I charged into battle with nothing to defend myself, save my love for you
and the courage spawned from our joining.
I charged into battle knowing that love is colorblind, timeless and worthy of any and all sacrifices that were made and will be made.

I charged into battle but as I got closer I realized that hurting them might ultimately hurt you
as well.
I reformulated my plan and decided that with patience and understanding as well as a slow trip through hell…

I could still win. Turning the other cheek is difficult but with God's way, I can win.
The battle was longer as I bit my tongue until it bled in an attempt to refrain from saying what had to be said to them.
I had to keep my eyes cast to the floor and I had to avoid their glance for if they looked into my eyes they would surely see.
That there are two things that will defeat their confusion, one is love and the other is me.

In an instant, one might even say that this all occurred instantaneously
My mission in life, my heart, my soul and my being realigned for you simultaneously.

You have always and will forever…make me complete.
