Curiosity windows lifted fern Fool want among money man

Residence pride misery graze Blanket kind time light

My Search For Truth

In pride I walked when young-
In the glory of my youth,
For fool that I was,
I searched for truth…

In time I was to find,
You were just being kind,
For among my peers,
I found only heartache and misery,
Hidden among the ferns…

In the windows of my soul,
I was seduced by the blanket of want-
Thinking money could buy,
What I needed from love to a residence,
Where I lived in bliss…

In curiosity you came then-
Seeking to graze upon my peace,
And lifted the blanket of ignorance,
From my naïve eyes,
And the light of truth shone clear-
Revealing to me the falseness,
Of all I once held dear…
