He said, Im going to be late.
That was the last kiss.
What once was lost will soon be found again.
Life is just taking its time.

And I forgot to tell you goodnight.
And you forgot to say goodbye.

As the years come and go,
The memories slowly fade.
The light in her eyes die away.
Time was taking its toll.
And life was taking its time.

And I forgot to tell you goodnight.
And you forgot to say goodbye.

Growing closer to her finest hour,
She remembers what he said.
Only with a smile,
She slowly passed away.

And I forgot to tell you goodnight.
And you forgot to say goodbye.

In an instant after,
the wind blew through the trees.
He had finally come for her.
Im sorry for being late
