trim, responsive,
beautiful in every way
one of these days i am
going to possess her


ROWING BOAT


catch
pull
feather
return

the skiff dances with the waves
moving lightly through the wrack
cedar straked stream slipper
moving to my will

The canoe ride I liked best on a lake is when I was able to look through the reefs underneath and see the life of the fish. This poem reminded me of that experience. Thank you.
