sailing on a wave of moonlit fantasy
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sailor, your charms
those soft kisses on the cheek
gentle as the shaking of
my knees gone weak
Sailor, your arms
pretending to take me along
meant it, too -- but we,
as yet, unfinished song
Sailor, how you make me smile
make the woman come aboard to
feel the sea... I, borne aloft
but we have yet to cross those miles
Captain, yes, you took this
Ocean-Lovin' Moonstruck heart
and sometimes
made it real ...
Sailor, if nothing else
you made me feel
Feel again
and it had been a long time waiting
'On the dock of the bay'
so far away
Sailor, thanks for the
log of notes sent asea--
carrying us, keeping me...
afloat.
