A Flower of a Different Kind

She dressed the occasion
with colors of deep brown
that matched the buoyant
nature of her earthy eyes.

The ballet we attended
filled her fervent mind
with enchanting moments
of intimate sincerities.

Laughter from her lips followed
a sigh, she watched childlike,
awed by the drama, the tale

and its captivating surprise.

A look from the corner of her eyes
and a radiant smile, warmed my thoughts.
Not even the flower she wore in her hair,
could compare to the beauty I saw in her stare.

You write differently, just like flowers are all diffent in style and color. Love to read these though, am fascinated by them in fact.

Is it not, perhaps, because you are an artist...that you see such beauty with your own eyes so clearly? It takes a very beautiful heart and soul to see in such light.
