I know its rude to stare, my mother taught me that
But happiness is so hard to ignore
I canít take my eyes away when I see someone
Sharing the joy of love, of children, of just sheer bliss
Of living, I have to take a peek, enjoy their life
For just a moment, I canít take my eyes away
And I wonder if it is really rude to stare
When the view brings even momentary happiness
To the viewer and the viewed, Iím not sure
I just know I canít help but take a peek

I adore especially old people in public holding hands and giving each other that glassy gaze. I enjoyed this. Very heartfelt.

Thanks,

It is always alright to take a peek. I'm sure people don't mind you admiring their families.

Good honest write, Sue!

I can't imagine a more honest emotion, Sue. The poem is a dandy, too.
