( Knowing why just helps reduce your cry. )

Why you don't want me dad

If you did I sure would be glad

However because you don't it makes me mad

Then I get sad

When I was younger your ignoring use to make me bad

I lashed out in anger

Then I became a danger

To every freaking disrespectful stranger

I wanted to beat them all

Cause I needed a punching bag to help recall

A f 'd up life

Full of misery and strife

One day

I heard a family member say

"Your father didn't want you,"

It took me some years to figure out if this was true

When I finally accepted my fate

It was almost to late

But I pulled myself together

And got out of bad weather

Now in my older years

I don't shed many more tears

I finally understand a simple group of words

"Your father didn't want you."

Now I know this is really true

You have never went out of your way

In anyway

To say

Nothing or do nothing for your defense

Now I really take this to offense

But I understand the full pretense

I don't worry anymore

Neither am I sore
