No vessel that sailed the Arctic seas has raised so much speculation or triggered imaginations as has the legendary Hudson's Bay Company steamer 'Baychimo.'..

This poem is dedicated to my oldest grandson Tyler (dob. 8-31-2001 to 11-02-2001) and his baby brother Coby that followed him a year later. May the dear Lord watch over both untill we are reunited again.

A little boy, I prayed you'd be
To sit and bounce on grandma's knee
I imagined all the stories I would tell
and all the songs that we would sing
The fish we would catch
The balls you would throw
Of watching you as I grew old
how were any of us to know
that this sweet story wouldn't unfold

You came to early
Twas no ones fault
But Lord, who would have thought
This tiny babe
with all the tubes
and all those wires in place
would stay so short a time
and bless so many hearts

We watched you grow more each day
an ounce here
a pound there
and everyday I said a prayer

We were only given 2 month's
2 days
not nearly enough time to play
way to soon to leave us here
our little boy we held so dear

I held you gently in my arms
and asked the Lord
Oh Why?

No real answers did I get
but you my dear sweet baby
we'll never forget
We'll hold you again
I'll see you face to face
When I enter through
heavens gates.

A loving tribute from a loving person. I think "why" is a question most of us ask in this life. Heartfelt creation, Tina. Love and peace to you. Regis
