Reassurance is always necessary when a child is being raised by a much older person. |

“Grandma, when you go to heaven
I want to go with you too.
It would hurt me, I’d be lonely . . .
living on earth without you.”
“There’s some things we do alone but
I’ll watch over you, sweetheart.
Though when the time comes and we part,
I will still dwell in your heart.”
“Grandma, who will help me get by
when you’re living in the sky?”
“Guardian angels here on earth
linger and soothe every fear.
When I’ve been fitted with my wings,
I will hover near you, dear.”
“Will I find love without you here?”
“Love is everywhere you are
those who love you are never far.
Keep faith, hope, your heart ajar.”
“Will you always be with me?”
“Eternally . . . infinity!”
