Shhhh...!

"There was a little girl"

I suppose.

Shelly b'delly with the big fa-at belly

I hated that song. You all thought it was funny.
I suppose.

She's still here, see.
Look!
The fa-at is gone, but it is still...still
she.

Your niece. Your cousin. Your...Your Goddamned daughter! See!?
Me!
me?

"Who had a little curl"

I tried to iron them out.
It wasn't easy.
I tried 'Curl-Free'
I tried and tried...
to be
Whoever I was supposed to be.

"Right in the middle of her forehead"

My head hurts.
Inside.
Inside.

my head.

Right in the middle of
Right in the middle of
         nowhere

  I Don't care!

Then why am I choking as I ... as I ... tell you?

"When she was good, she was very good indeed"

I've been good, haven't I?
I've cared. I've...
shared.
shared?

Until there was nothing left for me.

Selfish little bitch. What a thing to say!
'Nothing left for you'. You are something, I'll tell you!

I am You.

"But when she was bad she was horrid"

I hated that verse.
It was far too true .

It was me.
I was she

and it was the horrid
That haunted me.

o, the pain resonates through this (((HUGS)))

i've been there...always called worthless...stupid...fat...ugly...the words hurt still, even though they were said years ago...

"i hated that verse
it was far too true
it was me
i was *SHE*
and it was the 'horrid'
that haunted me"

your writes move me to tears...because i know the pain of which you write

keep writing--it will help

((((HUGS)))) and love,

karla. :(
