Fair Warning

For years, I had my kids convinced that I could see all, hear all. Really not knowing can drive a mother nuts...we can only warn, and leave the choices up to them!

My "ESP" is on

no matter where you go--

I can feel you making choices--

Just shake your head, "NO."

My crystal ball is clear,

You are focused in the zone.

Ignore the clanging voices

Even if you stand alone.

There's a limit to MY powers;

Intuition often fails:

When you disregard your mother,

May the fear of God prevail.

Some mistakes are minor,

Others change the world.

Some grow undetected

Until terribly unfurled.

All can be forgiven--

All cannot be undone.

I cannot protect you

If amuck you choose to run.

Your will always have my love,

I will pray for you in hope,

Only God can rescue

If you swim past the rope.
