I was watching a music video on MTV and this is what the singer reminded me of.

He moves like a broken marionette,
and the puppeteer knows not of this yet.

There's a string or two that's come undone,
he wanders wildly…as if on the run.

His conduct appears a might bit strange,
as if he's dancing on a hot range.

He shows no emotion with his funny smile,
as he looks straight through you all the while.

He taps out a dance that he knows is his last,
and he'll cry a lone tear for the upcoming cast.
