The Day We Were Patriots by Toris Okotie Tuesday, July 01, 2003 Share Print Save Become a Fan In recognition of Independents Day, a day America was born. (A specail greetings from Africa to all Americans)

At the 4^th of liberation Our freedom we contend With men so brave Their lives they lost As liberty rang its bell A war of freedom was made �The�are coming, the�are coming� In readiness, they 4^th for their lives At the rise of our flag Free nation we�ve now become From the north to south East to the west remains A colony, we once were Deducted of our taxes Deprived a right to represent Govern by a nation so faraway On this day of exclamation Our people are made free And as the years run by A nation of freedom, we celebrate We are the patriots
