A Year Ago Today

A year ago today,
We said goodbye,
As you died,
Unexpectedly,
I’ll never forget the moment,
That call came,
That hot July afternnon,
As Aunt,
Called to say you were gone,
It seemed so unreal,
Like a dream,
I had talked to you,
Only two days before,
You had said,
you were feeling,
A bit under the weather,
But you would be fine,
Yet sadly that was not the case.

In memory Of Aaron Jeeferson Phillips,
Who passed away on July.10.2002
Not yet Forty two and you were gone.
