“…accept me
as your true friend
in bondage
till our lives fail…”

don’t read more into this
than you see

study it carefully

try to understand
it is a gravitational attraction

two satellites
out of six billion souls
residing on the surface

we are not drifting
out in space
shivering in the dark
looking down
as the planet rotates
and revolves

we stand so alone
and far away

occasionally smiling
spinning in unison
in a kaleidoscopic dance
hoping for a little romance

It can seem like a gravitation but the pull is psychological.
