Remnants

The remnants of yesterday clung
to her mind as a gentle summer breeze
skimmed her scent of lilac laced skin,
the sensation shivered down her spine,
inhaling deeply she sighed watching

the purple haze sky. She wondered
if he too thought about her and remembered
the small details of their intimacy,
the music that played in the background,
a violin concerto that filtered the nightís air.

The harmony flowed, penetrating
into the fibers of their entwined souls,
captivated them to serenade to the rhythm,
the intensity trembled to exuberant flames
and burned imbedded scars of hunger.

Savagely lust dominated their feast and ploy
them to drink from a cup of wine tinted
with unknown flavors. Fortitude seared
into their veins as reality invaded their minds,
she, a servant, held by anotherís binds.
