Here we are
Still left behind
Seeking an answer
With none to find
Like soldiers in war
We’ve found our hell
Life without you
Life with ghosts we know well
Searching through the past
To find a reason to be
Trying to find a way
For someone else to see
That we’re just casualties
Still left behind
On a quest for answers
None will we find
Just casualties
From a whole other war
Picking up the pieces
That’s what we’re fighting for
But here we are
Still trying to find
The answer for all those
Just left behind
Like soldiers in a long, lost war
We’ve found our own hell
In life without you
With only ghosts we know so well
Trying to make sense of the past
If only to find a reason to believe
Trying to find a way
For someone else to see
That we’re just casualties
Still left behind
Searching desperately for answers
We know we’ll never find
Just casualties
Left behind
