to m jackson's "rememberance"....

she speaks
history
what sorry can
undo
what was
has been
done
none,
she speaks
language
new world
taught
beaten,raped
propertized
in chains of
ignorance,
she speaks
anger
from ridicule
degradation
of living
without hope
to the memories
slaved.

thank you, richard...I read Mitzi's Piece also...(Highly recommend, Jackson,Mitzi)& you have answered beautifully as one can...it, that work did bring chills and sorrow and yet, as you say, 'sorry', not enough...IT SHOULD BE SAID, but it would NEVER, EVER be enough...and to be so moved as you were to in your way, write of your own pain for her, for all who suffered the history of racism, and from..You have written a humbled kindness, so honestly meant that it MEANS SOMETHING...no, no sorry could ever be enough, but my friend, words like yours, here, help....in my opinion, it, they ARE SO SINCERE AND SO GUT FELT...Thank YOU!!! I, you have a heart within this that is profoundly versed in tribute...Oh, richard, Thank You...much, much!!!!
