is like a kick in the groin
glass shards in fingers
a flat tire in winter
a fork in the eye
a thorn in the side
a cold day in hell
a breakdown on mem. drive
a ship that won't come in
a full stomach swallowing pride
a heart without a lover
a key without a lock
an exhaustive restlessness
an idea, then mental block
a fix straight out of rehab
a returned engagement ring
a phone without a dial tone
a bird with broken wings
a girl entwined in limbo
a heart on either sleeve
the urge to call it quits
the inability to leave
the longing of a lifetime
the sorrow of the fall
if i could stop and live again
would i rearrange it all
there is never a good time
ill-timing's all i've ever had
and for all the trials and tribulations
i'd much rather be bad...
