*sung to the tune of "i'm so dizzy"*
it's a heat wave, my head is sweatin,
i don't think i'll ever cool down,
think the temp's one hundred and ten,
heat wave's makin me frown,
see, every summer it is like this and it's about to drive me mad,
don't know how texans live with this heat 'cause it's sure makin me feel bad,
where's a front when you need one?
'cause this heat wave ain't no fun,
and this heat, it's makin me feel real sad...
heat wave!
it's a heat wave, my head is sweatin,
i don't think i'll ever cool down,
think the temp's one hundred and ten,
grass is gittin all brown,
if it don't cool down soon i really believe i am a-gonna melt,
y'all up north don't understand, 'cause you're a-livin up there in the snow belt,
heat wave's got the best of me,
sweatin so much i can't see,
i need some cooler weather for some help...
heat wave!
it's a heat wave, tired of sweatin,
my deoderant don't work no more,
think the temp's one hundred and ten,
gonna pass out on the floor,
tired of sweatin,
i don't think i'll ever cool down,
think the temp's one hundred and ten,
heat wave is makin me frown,
it's a heat wave!
yeah, it's a heat wave!
it's a heat wave!
*melts into the background :)*
LYRICS (c) karla dorman, 2003
an aside: yeah, i know we ain't got it
as bad as some folks out west have got
it...but it's about to wear me out!!
all i can say...thank God for air con-
ditioning!!!!!! (but then, y'all gotta
pay the electric bill...that's a bit of
a bummer LOL...)
