The agony of waiting

It hasnít been that long
And yet Iím tired of waiting
Everyone sends me confused messages
Saying every time I reach my hand to you
Itís hopeless and desperate
My shell ignored them and I followed my heart
But lately the shell is cracking
Of worry
Of fear
I consulted the tarot about you
And the many questions that arise
One card keeps resurfacing
The Two of Cups
The second best card of lovers
Next to The Lovers themselves
And I smile to myself
Wondering if Iím over reacting
Or in fact
Reacting correctly
The confusion in my mind
Is like a tidal wave
And I know I have a long wait ahead
Everything will be alright
I know that
But I want us to prove them wrong
And set the record straight
Hurry up and grab my hand
Everyday Iím falling a little more
And either youíll catch me
Or a more mature version of myself
Will catch and caress
My wounded heart
