Foreclosure of infinity
A prison built of lies
Corrosion of serenity
Salvations slow demise

Beneath a shroud of sorrow
Undoing what’s been done
Obliteration of tomorrow
Slaughtering all things to come

The segmentation of stability
Reason stripped from rhyme
The vastness is now empty
A fractured span of time

Writhing just below surface
A truth from which is run
Now a fugitive of purpose
And the ending that’s begun

Within a forgotten memory
Dwells a madness so serene
Screaming the hidden history
Of an uncontrolled routine

And suddenly it shatters
Each piece now of its own
The whole no longer matters
With nowhere left to roam

Now all fades to nothing
As land falls to the sea
Comprehending this last something
What is here will never be

Malevolent Minds

Sometimes it seems that this doom is a certainty, that it's only a matter of time before "the foreclosure." Will mankind cure the default? Great, well written, thoughtful poem, Damien!
