~~~~~~~~Another poem about my brother~~~~~~~~
~~xXx~~
What a waste his life has been,
At such an early age he turned to sin.
In his hands he once held the key
To be anything he wanted to be.
He had the brains and he had the ability
He was a fearless man out at sea.
On the sports arena he was superior,
And while at school others felt inferior.
For many years he did lots of time
Paying for his life of crime.
Yet when he stayed away from the drugs,
One almost wanted to shower him with hugs.
To us, he is still a boy with a gentle soul,
Whenever his addiction, he is able to control.
What a dim future he now faced...
If only his life wasn’t such a waste!
~~xXx~~
I feel this strongly.. Give time.. let this person make his own mistakes.. let fate lead him.
It hurts when we see people we care about make wrong choices. All we can do is be there for them when they figure it out.
