Dreams

Dreams

Please don’t feel sad, some dreams are only dreams.
For most have never known such heights at all.
And though my tears may now be forming streams
I got to touch the sky before my fall.

Of course, I swear, I’d do it all again-
Relive each precious moment one by one,
For even in this loss no other men
Had such a dream, yes, even though it’s done.

I now must trod a winding road alone,
Still thanking friends who help me on the way,
Just now and then remembering the phone,
And all the roles that certain dreamers play.

The vision that I carry in my head,
Your voice that put such magic in my ears,
The memory of every word you said,
These things will keep me going through the years.

Some dreams are meant to dream and not come true ,
And that’s the kind of dream that came to me.
But still, because I had this dream of you
The world is now a better place to be.
