My name is Luke Ervin. I am three.
Feb. 28th 2002 I was diagnosed with
a brain tumor called Ependymoma. I
was only 19 months old. Since then
my little body has had 1 neurosurgery,
5 rounds of chemo, 29 blood transfusions, and 2 serious blood infections. July 25 2000 Mom and Dad
was told their was no cure.
For 10 months the tumor remained
stable. May 16th the doctors said
it had grown past the safe stage.
I celebrated my 3rd birthday on July
8th, 2003. I went into the hospital
July 12th for a hydracephalus and a brain stem compression. I came home to alot of pain . Morphine helped for awhile , then ceased to ease my terrible pain.
Hospice came in daily to monitor my morphine and take my vitals. My pain increased . Mommy told me it was Ok to let go of the pain and go into Jesus's arms. I am so glad she said that. I went to Heaven early this morning lying with my Mom in bed. Thank you Mom, for the courage to let go and let God. I Love You Mom and Dad.

I could never explain Mom
The beauty I see here
There's happiness and joy
No one sheds a tear
Jesus sent an angel
She told me to take her hand
She said that it was OK
That you would understand

*********************************

Please dry your eyes Mom
Do not grieve for me
For Jesus took me in His arms
And sit me on His knee
He took away every pain
I don't suffer anymore
I can run and play now Mom
I never could before

*********************************

Think of me Mom, when a gentle
breeze blows your way
Or a beautiful butterfly glides by
Or you see a child at play
Think of me when you see a
Twinkling star above
It will be me shining for you
Sending you and Dad my love

Heartwrenching tribute to a special little boy; why do little children have to suffer so needlessly? They don't deserve all this pain or heartache; they are only kids, and they deserve a childhood filled with play, laughter, and hope, NOT sickness or death! >tears, tears, tears < (((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Texas, Karen Lynn. :( Prayers all around to Luke's family and friends and to ALL families whose children have died or are sick! (((HUGS))) to them, too!

Dear Friend,

Linda, I can't tell you what it meant to me for you to do this tribute to Super Lukey. He was dx'd 20 days after Zack was dx'd, and I have been following his battle.

The strength, faith, and unconditional love of this family is an inspiration to all. Anyone wishing to read his journey or post to let the family know you are praying for comfort and peace for them his webpage is

A beautiful tribute to a beautiful angel as only you, Linda, could do. I thank you my friend. I can just picture little Luke with Zack looking down and smiling at you saying, "Well done, Angel Linda, well done.
I love you dear friend.

Linda:

There is so much sadness; but through your pen, Luke has found his comforts and there's so much beauties he sees within his eyes.

Lovely penmanship indeed! A master piece!
