If love is God
And God is love
Then, why are we?
Abhorring each other
In the name of religion

If God is our father
And we his children
Then, why are we?
Fighting with our own brothers
In the name of liberation

If God is light
And light is God
Then, why are we?
Extinguishing the light
In the name of luminous tomorrow

If God is truth
And truth is God
Then, why are we?
Abstaining from the path of truth
Blinded by the illusion of ambiguity

Very, very nice. Reminds me of " Man will struggle for religion, write for religion, fight from religion anything but live religion." The poem is both sweet and profound- vintage Bhuvan Thapaliya

Because Bhuwan, God bestowed free will and the right to chooses upon man. He set up a situation where man can either sink or swim by his actions. And it is obvious tht man has fallen too far short. Only Gods' Son lived up to his choices and made love first in His existence. God is love. Man can be what he chooses. Love or Hate Good or evil. Bill Murray

Great write Bhuwan. Too many have gone astray and are full of selfishness and greed ... they do not seek the light but choose to hide in the darkness.
