Metallic reality.

The reasoned metal of hard math

Casts its shadow on poverty’s path.

Would that future blades of youth

Keen to steely mathematic truth:

Add mate too soon,

Multiply each June,

Divide fortune today,

Subtract tomorrow’s away!

Applied math, eh? for we can apply this to a generation.. My goodness, Leland, you have a
"steel-trap" mind for wonderful rhyme.. your commentary is delivered so cleverly.. I'm so glad that word 'math' didn't keep me from this most enjoyable and thought provoking read. Yes.. you're very cool! katy.
