within the realms
inside myself
that leave the world behind
there is a meadow
i dance around
with waves of grass
and colored flowers
and the willow you lean upon

oh, the grin on your face
is always there
it's a million stars
and every light beam
that ever fell from the sky
the warmest cheek
i've ever touched
and i never needed to know why

to feel your vibration
as it overlaps and overlays
everything that ever was
humms and purrs and
delights the moments
linked with golden thread
i love you and
you love me nothing more be said

you sigh, i know
as i wander often
like a comet across the sky
ricocheting upon the planets
like a cosmic butterfly
hoping to spread
the feel of the warm
the herd of buffalo
the night moth's flair
and, oh the queen herself,
the most gracious lady earth

but you, and your iridescent smile
is welcoming sight
to my meadow moments
where the world is so far out of sight
scold me not for being this child
for my newborn flesh would cry
hold me kind in feathered nest
snuggle sweet in clouds of mist
remember not what we have missed
but remember yes that we are blessed
