This story is an amazing mix of horsemanship, love and native Indian spirituality...

Hooked On Books

I love going to the cool library on a hot day and finding some quiet corner to read...and exercise my imagination.

Walking down between the aisles
On readers’ faces - always smiles.
They’re here because they feel the need
To find a wonderful book to read.

They say a library should stay quiet
To me it’s noisy - like a riot.
I hear the books - oh did I mention?
The books all vie for my attention!

I hear murder, intrigue, laughter and pain,
The books all want me, I’ll go insane!
So many stories, and so little time,
Romance, horror, mystery, and crime.

I loot the shelves and take my limit,
Devouring each line, I never skim it.
Adventure awaits in each chapter or verse,
I sure hope my library card’s in my purse!

Excellent! I too am a lover of libraries. When I was in Ohio in May, I found to my dismay that the old library in my home town is now a...(gasp!Shudder!)...hair and nail saloon!!!
There is something so wrong about that.

Wonderful write. Me too, I love the library. I have a nice friend/librarian here where I live who has been immensely helpful. Alas, since I bought the computer I'm now down there as much. I think I will remedy that tomorrow. Thanks Pam for pointing that out.
