My Father Is Not Gone

Some of you know I met my father for the first time several years ago.. I was so happy to finally have one person in my life I could call family. In some ways I botched it up.. In the end.. I felt I let him down and that he let me down. He passed away without me there. A HUGE regret of mine. How I have prayed for a sign from him.. I believe I got it. So this is to thank my father. The time we spent together in this life does measure the depth of our love.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My father is not gone..
He was with me the other day..
I could feel him
surround me..
A feeling more powerful
than any in this mortal life..
My soul was freezing
without him..
Now it is warmed by his
memories light..
My father is not gone..
I spoke with him
just the other day..
He told me to
go forward..
That we would continue
to be together..
Just in a different way.
I cannot tell you
what it means..
To never have to say
good-bye..
Because..
Death is but living..
In the memories
we keep alive.
A wonderful poem. I know how that, once a person is away, the time you spent with him or her becomes even more precious and will always be inside you.
Excellent.
YES, the soul that is loved and needed stays in the earth's atmosphere..in the astral assisting with love those that need them..there are many ways you can contact your Dad..the simplest is during meditation...their love permeates the loved one...thankyou for this lovely poem..
