Secrets

Harboring a secret
Too painful to reveal.
Holding back some kind of pain
Afraid to even feel.

You may think this is working
You may think you’re protected
But what you’ve done is take my heart
And like a car you’ve wrecked it.

I’ll never know your secret
It’s hidden from my view
But as a consequence of that
I’ll never really know you.

If a secret is known then if wouldn't be a secret anymore. Some secret of another is not worth knowing. If you love the person, love him for just the way he is. Secret and all.

This is just my point of view.

Ah, the mystery of secrets. How infuriating they are when you are not let in on it, but then it wouldn't be a secret would it? One of those "stop and ponder" poems and very well done.
