Southern moonlight brings forth visions
moss covered trees, mist on the river
sultry heat, as steam rises to make
women glow and men swelter,
Red sun rises and orange blaze
white flowers take on softly sung
hues of a pastels, delighting the eyes
Northern moon rise, crystal clear and clean

ice cold wind, rushing down cannon streets
cutting off breaths as one flees
women bundled in furs, no muffs worn
of days long passed, just frozen fingers
seeking warmth under armpits of companions
Sweet afternoon casting long shadows,
midday warmth ever desire and lusting
neither Northern brightness or southern darkness
nor seeking passions of night or purity of dawn
knowing all souls must have it's shadowy
noon siesta time, before moonrise/moonlight
to balance times personification
