I ran after the hope
But I couldn’t grasp it
The more I chased
The further
It went away from me
Deserted, I came back
With a dismal heart
And landed straight
In the same old couch
Million thoughts ran
In the corridor of the mind
Gusty wind kissed my cheek
I rose up to close the window
From one plank of the window
I saw a shimmering light
In the remote land,
I buried my miseries
Stepped out
And headed towards
That land of the light
With a resolute heart
Lured by its luminary
Half way down the road
My heart thumped faster
My mind tangoed merrily
With the balmy zephyr
My emotions swirled
Like the naked twister
Suddenly, I saw an icon
In the land of the light
That icon was signaling
Me to saunter fast
I obeyed him and marched
A mile in no time at all
And entered the gate
Of the luminous land
Shocked was I
Upon seeing that icon
Metamorphosing into the hope
I pinched myself
And pinched the hope
Not to be hoaxed by its delusion
But the hope was real
I felt the grandeur of its soul
It was right before me
I was thrilled by its simplicity
It came a step forward
And greeted me with open arms
Then only I realized that
I was traveling in the path of love
I was traveling in the path of love
