She was so excited, she had been chosen!
It was finally her turn to travel through the heavens!
She hummed herself into incandescent fluorescence
As she prepared her ethereally strung plumage.

Feeling the pull of destiny in her skirted clouds
She proceeded to gather her cosmic-hued colors.
Orchestrating influx and outflow of anticipation,
She composed from her inquisitive, chaotic nature.

Billowing allowed screeching disharmonies
To coalesce into thunderous aqueducts of applause,
Leaping fires scribed from her thought-tips
As she sharpened her planetward perceptions.

Waiting for the crescendo to dethrone as it ebbed,
She luminescenced her ultraviolet spectrum into regality!
Sadly, earth saw only her basic beauty, and so, she lapsed,
And cried beseechingly for Life, for one last chance…

Before she passed.

"Rainbow Cried" and so did I, but this time was a pleasing crying…
Happier to see this JEWEL shining! Its lexicon is very impressive,
– the contents, the feelings, the Voice, – everything in this poem…
"Rainbow Cried" is outstanding. It took me over… my mind and my heart were taken by the Eagle of imagination.

I have read and enjoyed a wonderful and meaningful poem.

Bravo, Erin! A surreal, fairy tale-like, philosophical metaphor! I enjoyed the thinking behind it and enjoyed the rich language composing it, as well! BRAVO!

Another festival of words.. Erin, some can splash the page full of words, big and fancy, and there they are! You dip your brush into your heart and your head, design in mind, and paint a mural that feeds the soul.. I must guess that these soul-searching forays of yours must leave you quite exhausted.. You feed my head, indeed! love, katy xox.

Perhaps one should expect beauty when the subject is a rainbow, but you have exceeded all expectations with this beautiful phenomena animation. This is worthy of being mythologized by some deserving culture.
