judged book

hey..
don't you wish
some elbow grease
would render these pages
transparent as glass,
for bird
's eye viewing
behind closed
doors?
--but, you can't judge this book by its cover,
throwing stones from your own glass house.

...  a variation of that tried and true bit of advice ... "you can't judge a book by its cover," combined with "sticks and stones will break my bones ...
...
those that judge and remark might do well to take a look in the mirror, rubbing off the smudes and bits of toothpaste goop that clouds their vision.
...it might be, that what they see inside themselves is exactly what they fear and exactly what they go on to acuse others.
  ...
the truth hurts, the mirror never lies and open books have far more to tell than the covers might imply, the good, bad and/or the ugly cold hard facts.
...
 truth is never "pretty"
... after all is said and done, the truth is bloody gorgeous beyond description!
