For my Hero, you make the days bright |
|
~*Laughter*~
Lets cut out snowflakes and
Paste them on the windows
And pretend it's Winter on a
Hot Summer day. We can go
To the store in pajamas and
Fuzzy slippers, without a
Care to be had. Lets dance
In the rain and stomp in the
Puddles when it pours like
Cats and dogs, be carefree
In this joy we've found.
You've put a permanent smile
Upon this sour face, brought
Light into a place that has
Been, for what seems like
Forever, darkened by sadness.
Lets be carefree and sing
At the top of our lungs as
We run down the path, play
Hide and seek within the trees
And then fall into a pile of
Crunchy leaves.
We can make up goofy ghost
Stories by a campfire and
Roast marshmallows through
The night. Perhaps even star
Gaze, watch them come out
All twinkly and bright. Lets
Smile and laugh, be merry and
So carefree, reveling in this
Fuzzy feeling that seems to
Set us free.
Everyone needs a hero ...
I've found mine.

Oh, Laura!!!.... This is stuff that good daydreams are made for...when they come to life---magic, I swear. Your words are stunning...the way you tied child-like highs and love....brilliant! Your words make you a heroine.
Thanks,
Emilie |
