From a time in my life when loneliness & suicide seemed the only way for me to live & die...

                      -LONELINESS -

In a world; all alone,

How all alone am I.

Loneliness is like the ocean on a stormy day.

The beach, deserted;

Felt is only the wind,

Seen is only the thrashing waves,

The grey and darkening skies

Ominous and threatening are they.

Emptiness is all around,

In a world of loneliness.

In a world; all alone,

How all alone am I.

Lonely as an empty plain.

Miles, miles, nothingness;

Viewed only by me.

Just the appearance, a sea of grass;

Blowing, flowing with the wind;

Dim and dismal are the skies.

Emptiness is all around,

In a world of Loneliness...

Awesome! Painful emotions have produced/inspired you to write this gem, yet, I'm so glad that you overcame your depression. I'm looking forward to reading some of your works inspired by a giddy, happy experience of yours!

Darling, this is serious depression!
If you ever feel this way again, go to the DR. There's amazing new drugs available now, so no one has to feel like that any longer.
You penned it perfectly.

I can relate to your sentiments, Ed. It is sad when we feel so disconnected and isolated from the world, as a whole. I find my strength in prayer, my faith and my writing. I hope you are able to find comfort in some way, as well.
