She dances to the beat..........

Dancing on the sidewalk, without a care,
she doen't care if anyone is watching or who is there.
She twirls and swirls to the sounds in her head.
For her all the world has faded away, there is music instead.
Silently swaying to the hypnotic and lilting beat,
she swings her arms, shakes her head and taps her feet.
No one hears the music that she and her headphones alone can hear.
Does it really matter if they do? She is the one who holds it so dear.
Loved ones and strangers smile at her graceful dancing.
To her a beat and a lyric is more interesting than romancing.
One day soon, she will leave this deep interest behind her.
She will get married, get a job and feel that maternal stir.
But, the joyous image of her dancing without a care
will always be with them and lingering there.

Thank you all for your comments. ;)

I have been so busy doing lots of stuff this summer. ~sigh~ not enough time left for my creativity to flow like usual. Music is a huge part of my life still. ;)
Hopefully it won't be another month before I post again.
;) Silver
