Chameleon Love

Memories of that purple time come again,
seep deep in a tangled mass of turquoise brain,

fall in tears clear hot as summer rain.
Loss leaks from sapphire heart, pulses through vein.

From center of white soul, revelation;
out of flaming orange love, miracle of creation.

Welcome: love’s red reality.
Blacklisted: superficiality.

Heart I wear on green sleeve is mere decoration.
Still, I have banished yellow hesitation.

Pink love survives in marrow of my bone,
softens me like water smoothes brown stone.

Gray matter alert: I’m still in love alone.
Violet, you shrink, future yet unknown.
