HABITS of the WHILER BIRD
and all the while
She said, "say" and you may
In an old air when the tricks were
small and our eyes were big
An' together we dated a May
But May lasted a spring and an
impurity did slowly fill in my lungs a may day twenty years later in
a
May to the day
A nested bird did hear in a hollow
The song of a man
A nested bird heard the song of a
nested bear
And did move that which did move his wind
And his young did then start to hear and listen the same
And the bear did as always start and listen and listen the same as always
And when the nestled and nested bear did one day cross a wind
A crossed wind in a May that day each had had
as a nested bird might birth
and as May might have had
A new wind to his living
newly come from a new winded crossing
of a new path
and to birth on each a wind of a new habit
Grooved of a lessen direction
And double-crossed crossed doubly upon an older pointed and tested way
All the while
as I talked with the wind
of its blows, chances,and happenstances
I learn to hear of its' problems complaints, protests,
and its' a askew anew self-spreading self-filling-fullfilling self-invented new way
Of it's a'new governing majority and popular voted passages each May
That its' travels had become more and more navigated
by the tresspasses of others, blue's, blacks and various other darkened crowded and sorted hues
And difficult more
Each May
As in
all is well
and all the while.....
He whispers
"All is well"
As far as the birds, bears, and beasts
Can tell
And as much as I might be free to say
