A quote from Oscar Wilde.

It's not what's

behind the allure

of her eyes,

but the blunt

blue smile

the visible sparkle

of azure light.

It's not

the spectral machinations

of some hidden muse

but the words

that delicately ink

her pages-

Her voice

definitively heard

the cadence

the soft inflection--

Leave all the torturous

subtexts

the speculative darkened

cul-de-sac

for the tangible,

before my eyes...

that's where the

enigma lies.

So, the first verse is Oscar's and the second is yours? Love the moody melody of the second, you mused well! :)
