Sometimes the last laugh could end up being on you. This poem is only symbolic and not about me personally.

During my upward success traveling around,
I ran into this clown,
He didn't make me laugh,
not even for a half.
I pushed him away,
and hurt his feelings that day.
I told him right in his face,
that his humor was really a disgrace.

As the years past,
my success didn't last.
My life took a sudden disastrous turn,
and I did learn,
that you should always treat people as kind as possible,
because your life could really turn to be really horrible.

On the way back down,
I ran into the same clown.
I needed his helping hand,
but the clown took off and ran.
As he retreated,
he seemed glad I had been defeated.
The clown got the last laugh,
on my crying begging behalf.

Nice write. . . not an easy thing to recall, no doubt. This kind of admission takes courage. Sometimes the most painful lessons make for the best writing. Thanks for sharing a unique moment in your life.

ya ya...I am one of those clowns that got pissed off by another clown....but I am still smiling...even in pain.
It hurts so bad that it leave a scar so deep it stays forever!!

But then there are clowns whose jokes go too far. Excellent lesson.

Grady,

Have missed you ..
This is very good.
I always say God gets the last laugh
for he said it too.
