My handle on life was broken
by meaningful words unspoken.
I thought falling in love would change--it did . . . the birds stopped singing,
inside my heart's quaking.
Should I run,
should I yield?
If it's fate
it will be . . .
remarkably.
The fork in the road splits in two.
How do I know the path to you?
I'm so enamored, enchanted,
part of you is in my mind . . .
the rest isn't far behind.
You shed tears,
my heart tears.
If it's fate
we will be
remarkably.
You repaired my handle on life,
flushed away the refuse and strife.
Ev'ry touch gave living meaning,
the birds again were singing,
inside my heart is ringing.
Love me do . . .
I love you.
If it's fate
it will be
remarkably.
